Today's trance mix is an #ASOT450 contest mix from a man named Giorgio Blanco from the Netherlands (go the dutchies!). He's a 31 year old DJ whose been mixing for many years now, but hasn't yet played at any big venues, although his trance mix is just as professional as the big DJ's out there. Giorgio has an immense passion for trance music and the culture that drives it, it really shines through in his trance mix :). He also wishes to continue with his mixing and maybe even start his own radio show.

First off, I would like to say that the synths in Jonas Stenberg Pres. Sunstate - Nightfall (Rough Mix) and Alex Frolov- Cold Winds (Original Mix) are really beautiful, and like nothing i've ever heard before; really otherworldly. Oh yes, and Spark 7's remix of System F - Cry is absolutely stunning. In fact, all of the tracks are awesome, and to top it off Giorgio mixes them all seamlessly :). I really appreciate Giorgio's progression from slightly cold and sad feel with the first few songs, to more uplifting/triumphant tunes. This gives his trance mix a real human feel to it, as if there is a beautiful story of tragedy to triumph behind it.

The overall style of Giorgio's trance mix is uplifting, melodic, and progressive trance with a hint of sad trance.

I hope you continue mixing Giorgio :) you definitely have the skills to produce your own radio show.
